A New Day Dawns for the Professional Theater Industry!

This past January, Founder & CEO, Tony Mullins, after speaking with his now, Board President, Jamaas Britton, came up with a new concept for the theater community of Charlotte. One that they are confident, will be a game changer!
The People's Theater is launching as a Non-Profit whose mission is to meet anyone who desires to be in the theater industry (whether performance, administrative, or technical), at whatever level they are at, and elevate them to a professionally accredited status through performance, education, and mentorships.
The People's Theater will use their productions, workshops, and uniquely crafted experiences as learning and training opportunities, for those who desire to take advantage.
"Imagine a situation where you desire to be an Actor, a Stage Manager, A Producer, A Director, or even a CFO whose primary focus is in the entertainment sector,", Tony says.
"instead of not being given a chance because of your lack of experience, we, as The People's Theater lean into that. We say 'okay, you want to learn? Let's work with what you have. Let's get you in with a professional at the top of their game. Let's have you learn from them, and then, if you do a good job, let's bring you on as an assistant, or whatever that next level is for you.' The People's Theater is that! It's that unique learning incubator that's provided for you. And we hope that in the future it's home for you as a fellow creative, too!"
